The current site uses storage for sign-in and features you choose. It has no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking SDKs. There is no optional tracking to accept or reject, so we do not display a cookie-consent banner.
What is stored in your browser
- Session cookie (
session) - Keeps you signed in, protects forms, and remembers session/tutorial state. It is signed, HTTP-only, and SameSite=Lax; production uses HTTPS-only cookies. The cookie can last up to 30 days, refreshed by activity. The planner enforces your shorter inactivity setting unless you select Keep me signed in on this device. That option allows up to 30 days of inactivity on that browser. Signing out clears the authenticated session. Blocking cookies prevents account features from working.
- Browser-only planner (
studentsuccess.local-plan.v1) - Stores the plan you choose to keep on this browser. It is not automatically synced to a server account. It remains until you use the planner's erase control or clear this site's browser data.
- Guide preferences (
studentsuccess.planner-guide.v1,studentsuccess.welcome.v1) - Remember dismissed guide messages on this browser until site storage is cleared.
- Recent interface actions (
studentsuccess-paper-action-v1,studentsuccess-paper-course-v1) - Temporary per-tab state used for visual feedback after actions. Old action markers are ignored after two minutes; tab storage is cleared when the browsing session ends.
- Focus timer and parked thoughts (
studentsuccess-focus-*) - Optional per-account, per-tab storage for your timer and short distraction notes. These are not sent to AI, synchronized across devices, or included in account exports. End the timer or clear thoughts to remove them; closing the tab normally clears this storage (browser session restoration can retain it).
Control storage
Use your browser's site settings to clear cookies and local storage for this domain. Clearing them signs you out and may permanently remove a browser-only plan. Export that plan first if you want to keep it. Clearing browser storage does not delete your server account; use account deletion for that.
If optional tracking is introduced later, this policy and the relevant controls must change before it is enabled.
